Faith In Works Is Not Faith In God

Self-produced works can lead to faith in oneself and one’s own works. That is NOT saving faith. When you are able to transport yourself to the clouds without an airplane, give yourself a new body and live forever, then and only then should you have faith in yourself or your works. Faith in other men or groups of other men is dead-end faith also. Like you they are unable able to cause anyone to survive forever. Our good works can please God only AFTER we become His workmanship.

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Psalms 108:12 Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.

Jeremiah 17:5 Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.

Isaiah 30:1 Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin: 2 That walk to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt! 31:3 Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When the LORD shall stretch out his hand, both he that helpeth shall fall, and he that is holpen shall fall down, and they all shall fail together.
